Since 2012, Firefucker has stood for distinctive New Wave indie rock from Rendsburg. The band has its roots in the local rock scene and has developed a unique sound over the years that consciously straddles the genres of indie, wave, and rock.
After numerous lineup changes, restructuring, and musical shifts, one thing has remained: the commitment not to simply do what everyone else is doing.
Rough edges are part of what Firefucker is all about-musically, and in the band's history, which now continues with our new lead guitarist, René. A warm welcome to the "Family in Black", René!
Musically, things are moving forward, too. With "Something Better Change", Firefucker released a new song, continuing their evolution across New Wave, indie, and Brit-rock.
In doing so, the band remains true to its principle:
Never mainstream.
The former "Firefuckerstall" has since become a piece of Rendsburg's underground history. What began as a rehearsal space and meeting point evolved?in collaboration with Eiderland-Musik e.V.-into an integral part of the Rendsburg music and cultural scene, one in which the Firefuckers are now an indispensable fixture.
Today, there is once again a venue for concerts, rehearsals, recordings, and events-and thus, a stage for the Firefucker and fellow bands.
